Care Instructions

Your Ornately Art piece is designed to be a lasting addition to your home. Follow these simple care instructions to keep your artwork looking beautiful for years to come.

Regular Maintenance

Dusting:

  • Dust your artwork every few months using a clean, soft bristle brush
  • Gently brush in the direction of the layers to avoid catching on edges
  • A soft makeup brush or clean paintbrush works perfectly

Important - Do Not Use:

  • ❌ Chemical cleaners of any kind
  • ❌ Water or liquid cleaners
  • ❌ Abrasive cloths or materials
  • ❌ Compressed air (can damage delicate layers)

Display & Placement

Sunlight:

  • Avoid direct, prolonged exposure to strong sunlight
  • UV rays can fade colours over time, especially on painted pieces
  • Indirect or filtered light is ideal

Environment:

  • Display in a dry environment
  • Avoid high-humidity areas (like bathrooms)
  • Keep away from heat sources

Handling

If you need to move or handle your artwork:

  • Always hold by the backing board, not the sculptural layers
  • Handle with clean, dry hands
  • Support the entire piece when moving

Storage

If you need to store your artwork:

  1. Wrap carefully in bubble wrap
  2. Place in the original shipping box (or similar sturdy box)
  3. Add protective filler around the artwork
  4. Store in a dry location away from extreme temperatures
  5. Store flat or upright - do not stack heavy items on top

Aurora Collection (Acrylic Display Cases)

For pieces in acrylic display cases:

  • Clean the acrylic case with a soft, dry microfiber cloth
  • If needed, use a slightly damp cloth for the case exterior only
  • Never use chemical cleaners on the acrylic
  • The artwork inside the case should not require cleaning

What to Do If Damage Occurs

If your artwork is accidentally damaged:

  • Contact us at design@ornately.co.nz with photos
  • We may be able to repair or replace damaged components
  • All pieces come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects

12-Month Warranty

Your Ornately Art piece is covered by a 12-month warranty against:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Material faults
  • Workmanship issues

The warranty does not cover damage from:

  • Accidents or mishandling
  • Improper installation
  • Exposure to unsuitable conditions
  • Normal wear and tear
